The nearest printing office to the Dalziel Barn in 1809 was at Yonge and Steeles - a 2-hour-walk depending on the weather. That shop most likely did not have an 800-page-per-hour Hoe Cylinder Press. Most likely a 200-page-per-hour Washington Press.

This video of Ray Redmayne was shot April 2008. For the past three years, Ray had been volunteering to restore the three working presses in Black Creek's Printing Office - the Hoe Cylinder Press, the Washington Press, and the Gorden Press. Ray is a printer who grew up working with machines similar to those on display at Black Creek Village.
